As we all know that the whole world is fighting against corona virus for some time, so the vaccine to fight against corona has arrived but our children are still not safe because vaccination for kids has not begun in India, as well vaccination trails is currently underway. Countries like the United States have proceed with the vaccinations for children above 12 years of age, and others are wait to follow suit once the clinical trials end and when the vaccines are implement. We expect vaccination for children in India to begin in the first trimester of 2022.

Why corona vaccine is necessary for children?

Children, specially the younger ones, most likely aren’t super-spreaders of COVID-19, But the appearance of deadly and faster-spreading variants means that kids and teenagers might soon be contributing more to the spread of the Coronavirus. Hence, it is necessary to get children vaccinated, as soon as the vaccines are available for them.

Is COVID-19 Vaccines for Kids Safe?

Yes, absolutely, Available COVID-19 ( in country Japan, Italy, Germany, France etc) vaccines for children are safe. Safety is always the main megacorp in clinical trials and is completely taken care of. All vaccines are only permitted after successful trials and testing.
The first vaccine to be administered for youngsters in the age group of 12-18 years in India. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), has announced needle-free COVID-19 vaccine ZyCoV-D by Zydus Cadila for emergency use. ZyCoV-D is a three dose vaccine which will be govern first on day zero, day 28th and then on the 56th day. With this approval, India now has its first COVID-19 vaccine for the youth in the 12-18 age group.

COVID-19 Vaccines Have Been Permitted for Kids till now in  Countries

 US -  vaccinate youngster in age between 12-15 years in mid-May this year.

Italy - On 31st May 2021, approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for 12-15-year-olds.

Germany - Germany will soon begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations for all kids and teenagers aged 12 and above.

France - France offering COVID-19 vaccinations to all kids over 12 years of age on 15th June 2021, and till date.

Switzerland - The vaccine is currently being recommended for all kids aged 12 years and above.

Israel - Israel has approved corona Vaccines for children between age of  5-11 years who are at risk.

Japan  - On 28th May 2021, the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 12 years and above has been approved.

Can COVID-19 Vaccine Help Kids Go Back to School and Participate in Other curriculum Activities?

Definitely yes, With reference to the reopening of schools, the Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS),  said India should consider reopening schools in a “alternate manner”. 
The COVID-19 vaccine, along with promising  physical distancing, mask-wearing, using sanitizer and other precautions, will help your child’s safe return to school and participation in sports and other group activities.

Any Side-effects After Getting the COVID -19 Vaccine

 May be yes, Your child might maturity pain or cramp at the injection spot, and could feel more weak than usual. Achy joints or muscles, headache, and even fever and coldness are possible. These side effects are usually for the time being or short term and generally resolve within 36 to 48 hours.

Should Parents Postpone Other Vaccines or their child Who is Suffering From Corona or Has Just Recovered From Corona?

It is recommended that you should not postpone the routine vaccination of your child. It is important that your child take his vaccination on time because the vaccination is given to him to protect  from other many  serious illnesses/diseases. If it comes in contact with children, it protects them from other diseases too.

How Can you Prepare for your Child to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine?

  1. Talk to your child  before the visit to the vaccination centre.
  2. Inform the medical professional about any allergies your child may have.
  3. Offer some encouragement words to your kids during the appointment.
  4. To prevent fading or black out, make sure your child is seated or lying down while receiving the vaccine and for 15 minutes after the vaccination.
Most children do not become seriously ill from covid-19, a large number of sick children need to be hospitalized, although those who children are fully fit, are also due to corona virus infection are not going to school, and not participate to sports and other social activities And they started experiencing side effects like mental tension, headache, nausea, loss of taste or smell, so you are requested to give this vaccine to your children as soon as this vaccine is available in India and the process of vaccination starts.
